The Mooney Family

The Mooney family are very well known within the Kaipara district with descendants still living in the region today. In this photo is:

Elizabeth Mooney nee Trevarthen with some of her daughters. Elizabeth Jane Mooney born 1833 died 1911, married Samuel Mooney born 1823 died 1904. They lived at "Kauri Falls" in Hakaru and had 12 children.

In this photo: back row left to right Beatrice Maud (known as Maud) born 1874 died 1942, Edith Constance Fraser born 1869 died 1945, Kate Argate born 1871.

Front row left to right Mary Jane born 1852 died 1936, Elizabeth Mooney born 1833 died 1911, Frances Ann 1862 died 1934, not present Elizabeth Ellen (known as Nellie) born 1855 died 1895 and Eveline Violet (known as Evie) born 1879 died 1958.
